On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Capacity Building on Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VE/VA) of Infrastructure Projects Phase 2


Project Description

SYSTRA Philippines was awarded this contract by the National Economic and Development Authority’s (NEDA) in October 2016.  Under this contract, SYSTRA capacitated representatives from NEDA Regional Offices (NROs) and from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) through training, mentoring, and active participation in the Value Engineering / Value Analysis (VE/VA) process, as provided in the NEDA VA Handbook of 2009 and following the guidelines of SAVE International.  This includes compliance with the 6-Phase Job Plan (Information, Function Analysis, Creativity, Evaluation, Development and Presentation phases).

The project used for the training of NRO representatives was the EDSA Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), while the DPWH trainees used their agency’s “Cavite Industrial Area Flood Risk Management Project” project as case study.
