SYSTRA PHILIPPINES, INCORPORATED (SPI) was created in 1995 as a Joint Venture undertaking of JAVLON International (Philippines), Inc. (JIPI) and SYSTRA S.A. in France. SYSTRA S.A. is an international rail and urban transport engineering consultancy firm. Its majority shareholders are the Paris Transport Authority (RATP) and the French National Railways (SNCF). SPI has been providing technical assistance services to SYSTRA S.A. for the implementation of its Technical Services Agreement with the
Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) for the MRT Line 3 Project since 1995. During this period, SYSTRA experts have ensured that technology transfer in terms of new ideas and innovative technology was made to their Filipino counterparts, thus, reinforcing and upgrading the capabilities of the SPI technical team in the field of rail engineering including rail operations and maintenance.

SPI, through the skills of its local technical personnel and with the support and back-up of SYSTRA S.A., is regarded as a leader in the Philippines in the specialized field of rail and urban transport engineering.
